Nerf Gelfire FAQ

How do I clean my Nerf Gelfire blaster?

Prior to storage, clean the blaster of any Nerf Pro Gelfire round residue that remains in the hopper feed or the barrel. Use a long soft and clean item, such as a cotton swab, to clear debris. Clean only with a damp cloth or a soft, clean, dry item.

Are the rounds for Nerf Gelfire reusable?

NERF GELFIRE rounds are soft, water-hydrated gel pellets that burst and dissipate upon impact. They cannot be reused.

Can I use gel rounds from other companies in Nerf Gelfire blasters?

No, we recommend only using rounds produced by Hasbro.

How do you hydrate Nerf Gelfire rounds?

Open 1 packet and pour rounds into container of clean tap water. It is recommended to use at least 0.5 gallon/2 liters of water per 5,000 rounds.

If you want to hydrate only some of the rounds in a packet and save some rounds for later, use the same amount of water. More water than recommended will not impact hydration: It is not possible to overhydrate the rounds or grow them too large to function in the blaster. Make sure rounds are fully submerged in water. Allow rounds to remain in container for about 3-4 hours to be fully hydrated.

What can I do if my Nerf Gelfire Mythic blaster won't fire properly?

If your blaster will not fire properly or the gel rounds are clogged in the blaster, try the following:

  • Shake blaster to jostle rounds (GELFIRE Rounds are gravity fed from the Hopper)
  • Ensure rounds have been hydrated in water for 3 to 4 hours. Place rounds back in water to hydrate further.

My Nerf Gelfire Mythic has no power, what can I do?

Try the following:

  • Turn selector dial at rear of blaster to either semi-auto or full-auto mode
  • Move trigger lock switch below the shooting trigger from locked to unlocked
  • Charge battery. If this is your first use, remember to charge battery fully before first use.
  • Firmly push battery into the blaster.
